EPFO Raises Rate Marginally to 8.8% for FY16 - 17.02.2016

Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has marginally raised interest rate on retirement savings to 8.80% for 2015 -16 from 8.75% last year but lower than 8.95% proposed earlier, disappointing trade unions that had been pitching for the higher rate.
