SC Directs State to Act Against NGOs Indulging in Illegal Adoption of Orphans - 08.06.2021

Supreme Court has directed State Governments and Union Territories to act against NGOs which are indulging in illegal adoption of children orphaned by COVID-19, stating that no adoption of affected children should be permitted contrary to the provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.
