Uttarakhand HC Issues notice on PIL Seeking Compensation for Victims of Glacial Disaster - 07.06.2021

Uttarakhand High Court has issued notice to the Central and State Government on a Public Interest Litigation seeking compensation for families affected by the glacial disaster that took place on 7th February, 2021 in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district. The Court has inquired if any interim compensation has been granted to the affected families, whose houses were uprooted in the disaster.
