SC Strikes Down Reservation for Marathas in Govt Jobs and Admissions in Maharashtra - 05.05.2021

Supreme Court has set aside the Bombay High Court order and stuck down the reservation to Marathas in government jobs and admissions in Maharashtra, stating that amendment granting reservation of 13% to Marathas to education and employment is ultra vires to the Constitution of India, 1949.
