SC Upholds Constitutional Validity of the Rajasthan Schools (Regulation of Fee) Act 2016 - 04.05.2021

Supreme Court has upheld the constitutional validity of the Rajasthan Schools (Regulation of Fee) Act, 2016. The Court has however read down Sections 4, 7 and 10 of the Act, stating that the dispensation envisaged under Section 6 of the Act is not intended to undermine the autonomy of the school Management in the matter of determination of fee structure itself but to allow the school Management to determine its own fee structure.
