SC Directs Governments on Saving Great Indian Bustard and Lesser Florican Bird Species - 20.04.2021

Supreme Court has directed the Governments of Rajasthan and Gujarat to save critically endangered Great Indian Bustard and Lesser Florican from extinction, to underground overhead power cables in the bird species’ habitat areas in Kutch and Thar to avoid their collisional deaths and install diverters till undergrounding work was complete.
