Bombay HC Allows 58 Jain Temple Premises to Operate Kitchen for Nine Days of Ayambil Tap - 19.04.2021

Bombay High Court has allowed 58 Jain temple/trusts to open up their kitchens for cooking 'pious food' for the nine days of Ayambil Oli Fast, after they undertook to home deliver the cooked food. The Court has refused to allow takeaways observing that it did not fulfill the rigours of the Standard Operating Procedure issued by the State on April 13, 2021, by which restaurant dine-ins and the opening of religious places for devotees is impermissible.
