Uttarakhand HC: Police Personnel Cannot be Appointed as Jail Superintendents - 13.04.2021

Uttarakhand High Court has held that Police personnel cannot be appointed as Jail Superintendents. The Court has held that the purpose of Police is very different from that of Jail Superintendents and as a natural corollary, their trainings and psyche are poles apart. Hence, the former cannot possess the position of the latter.
