SC Issues Contempt Notice to Suraz Trust MD for Failure to Appear Before Court - 06.04.2021

Supreme Court has issued notice of contempt to Rajiv Daiya, MD of NGO Suraz India Trust whilst strongly deprecating his conduct and noting the non-compliance of an Order which directed him to submit Rs. 25 lakhs costs over allegations levelled against Judges. The Court has noted in its Order that they strongly deprecated the conduct of Daiya and that along with not complying with the previous Order, he was seeking to "wriggle out of the proceedings by raising all kinds of objections".
