Madras High Court Disapproves Sec.144 CrPC Prohibitory Order in Puducherry - 05.04.2021

Madras High Court has disapproved of the prohibitory order passed by Puducherry Administration/Collector exercising her powers under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. The Court has asked the Election Commission to issue a clarification that "prohibit the unlawful assembly & movement" wouldn't stand in the way of citizens going about their normal business and chores.
