Madras HC Refuses to Quash GO for Promoting Students Without Examinations - 23.03.2021

Madras High Court has refused to quash a Government Order issued for promoting State Board students of Classes IX, X and XI without conducting written annual examinations due to the threat of COVID-19. The Court said, just because the GO had referred to a speech made by the Chief Minister, it cannot be construed that the executive decision was taken without any discussion or deliberation.
