Allahabad HC Sets Aside Governor's Order Granting Premature Release of Triple Murder Convict - 22.03.2021

Allahabad High Court has set aside the premature release order in favor of a triple murder convict, underling that the Governor transgressed his jurisdiction in exercising the power under Article 161 of the Constitution of India, 1949. The Court has set aside Governor's order in view of the mandate of Section 433-A of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 and has directed CJM Bulandshahar to take the convict into custody.
