SC: Authorities Have No Power to Confiscate Animals During Pendency of Case - 05.01.2021

Supreme Court has said authorities have no power under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 to confiscate animals from traders during pendency of cases and gave a week’s ultimatum to the Centre to either amend the Act or suffer a stay on the 2017 Rules.
