Central Government hereby delegates all powers exercisable by the Director in relation to inter-State trade and commerce to the Controller of Legal Metrology in the State of Bihar

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (7) of section 13 of the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 (1 of 2010), the Central Government, with the consent of the State Government, hereby delegates all powers exercisable by the Director in relation to inter-State trade and commerce relating to the provisions of sections 18, 27, 28, 29, 30, 33, 34, 35 and 36 of the said Act and under rule 32 of the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011 to the Controller of Legal Metrology in the State of Bihar subject to the condition that a quarterly report of the action taken under the said provisions including the number of cases booked, compounded, prosecuted and convicted shall be sent to the Director.
