SC: No Statutory Sanction for Test Identification Parade - 04.11.2020

Supreme Court has said test identification parade (TIP) had no statutory sanction either under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 or the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 demolishing the importance investigators and prosecutors have accorded to TIP, which for decades was considered to be integral to criminal prosecution
