SC Suggests Imposing Fine of Rs 50,000 on Construction Sites for Dust Pollution - 22.01.2016

SC has favoured imposing a fine of Rs 50,000 on a daily basis on construction sites for generating high levels of dust in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR). The court also sought responses from Centre and NTPC to close down polluting coal-based Badarpur Thermal Power Station.
