Lok Sabha Passes Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill, 2020 - 16.09.2020

Lok Sabha has passed the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill, 2020 by voice vote. The Bill seeks to amend the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 and aims to increase the availability of buyers for farmers' produce, by allowing them to trade freely without any license or stock limit.
