Supreme Court Asks Centre on Right to Life for Animals - 10.09.2020

Supreme Court has asked the Centre if animals should have right to life under Article 21 of the Constitution of India, 1949 while entertaining a Public Interest Litigation that sought prohibition of rampant killing of animals across the country for religious or other purposes.
