EPFO withdraws 5 day grace period for depositing dues

Employees Provident Fund Organisation has withdrawn the grace period of five days for depositing dues with effect from February, 2016. The EPFO notes that with the availability of technological tools to employers, the concession of five days has outlived its basic purpose and utility. A Circular dated 8th January 2016 was released by the EPFO to that effect.
