SC: Mere Delay in Forwarding FIR to Magistrate is Not a Ground to Acquit Accused - 27.05.2020

Supreme Court has stated that the delay in sending the First Information Report to the Magistrate in compliance of Section 157 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 cannot, in itself, be a ground to acquit the accused.
