Consumer Protection Bill, 2015
The government introduced the Consumer Protection Bill, 2015 in the Lok Sabha on 10.08.2015. The Bill aims to provide protection of the interests of consumers and for prevention of unfair trade practices. To that end, and for timely and effective settlement of consumers' disputes, it establishes Consumer Protection Councils and other authorities.
