Presidential assent concludes legislation season

Having been passed by the Parliament in its Winter Session, several Bills received Presidential assent on 31st December 2015 becoming the first Acts of 2016. These are:

1. Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015 (No. 1 of 2016)

2. Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act , 2015 (No. 2 of 2016)

3. Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Act, 2015 (No. 3 of 2016)

4. Commercial Courts, Commercial Division and Commercial Appellate Division of High Courts Act, 2015 (No. 4 of 2016)

5. Atomic Energy (Amendment) Act, 2015 (No. 5 of 2016)

6. Payment of Bonus (Amendment) Act, 2015 (No. 6 of 2016)
