ILO recommendations on transition from informal to formal economy approved

The Union Cabinet has approved presenting before Parliament the International Labour Organization’s Recommendations (No. 204) concering ‘The Transition from the Informal to the Formal Economy’. The Recommendation provides guidance on workers’ fundamental rights, creation and preservation of decent jobs and preventing informalisation of formal economy jobs.
