SC Approves Trade in Lapsed LIC Policies - 11.01.2016

SC, while upholding judgment of Bombay HC which had stated that insurance policies are “transferable and assignable in accordance with provisions of Insurance Act, in terms of contract of life insurance”, has ruled that Life Insurance Corporation cannot object to transfer or assignment of policies.
