Bombay HC Issues Notice in Plea Challenging Distinction Between Accused Under IPC & Special Acts - 06.04.2020

Bombay High Court has issued notice to the State of Maharashtra, Maharashtra Prison Department, Director General of Prisons and the Undertrial Review Committee in a Petition challenging the decision of the High Powered Committee constituted by the State of Maharashtra to exclude those accused under Special Acts, from being released on parole or temporary bail in light of the pandemic of COVID-19.
