Bombay High Court Directs Railways to Pay Compensation to Deceased - 24.02.2020

Bombay High Court has directed Central railways to pay Rs.8 Lakhs as compensation to the family of Arjun Gawande who died while alighting from a train at Badnera station. The Court has held that even though the deceased Boarded the wrong train which did not have a stoppage at Badnera station, the Tribunal's finding that the deceased was responsible for his death was not sustainable.
