Supreme Court: Union Government Cannot Freeze Assets of Punjab National Bank in Nirav Scam Case - 20.02.2020

Supreme Court had ordered that the Union Government could not have moved under company law for freezing the assets of ex-Managing Director of Punjab National Bank, Usha Ananthasubramanian, who was charged by the Central Bureau of Investigation in Rs. 14,000 Crore loan default scam with the alleged involvement of Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi.
