SC Dismisses Centre's Appeals Against Delhi HC Verdict on Appointment of Women to Command Posts - 17.02.2020

Supreme Court has directed that permanent commission should be granted to women in army regardless of their service, except in combat roles. The Court has also held that absolute exclusion of women from command assignments is against Article 14 of the Constitution of India, 1949 and unjustified.
