Supreme Court: Political Parties Must Justify Fielding of Candidate with Criminal Background - 03.02.2020

Supreme Court has made it mandatory for political parties to reveal the reason behind fielding a candidate with a criminal background. The Court has declined the Election Commission’s proposal to penalize such politicians and parties to field them.
