Telecommunication (Broadcasting and Cable) Services (Fourth) (Addressable Systems) Tariff (Sixth Amendment) Order, 2015

MANU/TRAI/0091/2015

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has released the Sixth Amendment to its Broadcasting and Cable Rules, in an effort to ensure choice available to consumers of television services. The Amendment simplifies the previously released, ‘Simplified Twin Conditions’ to ensure that consumers are able to subscribe to their desired television channels on an a-la-carte basis at a reasonable price. It however maintains broadcasters’ flexibility in setting a reduced price for a bouquet of channels.
