Arun Jaitley: Print Media needs to accept challenges put forth by Digital Age

The Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Finance and Corporate Affairs has called on print media to maintain its presence and sustain growth in ever-increasing pressure from digital sources. He attributed a thinning of the line “between news and opinion” emanating from the electronic media, and print media had the responsibility of maintaining objectivity and “preserving the sacred nature of news”. The remarks came at an event releasing the annual report “ Press in India – 2014-2015”.
