Reserve Bank of India Cancels Vodafone’s Certificate of Authorization for M- Pesa - 22.01.2020

Reserve Bank of India has said that it has cancelled the Certificate of Authorization of Vodafone M- Pesa on account of voluntary surrender of authorization. The Bank further clarified that the Company cannot transact the business of issuance and operation of prepaid payment instruments post the cancellation.
