SC: Mandatory Time Line for Filing Written Statement is Not Applicable to Non-Commercial Suits - 21.01.2020

Supreme Court has clarified that the mandatory time-line for filing written statement does not apply to non-commercial suits. The Court held that as regards non-commercial suits, the time-line for written statement is directory and not mandatory.
