Securities and Exchange Board of India Bans Former Diageo Executive for 7 Years - 15.01.2020

Securities and Exchange Board of India has banned the Nishat Shailesh Gupte, a former official of Diageo Plc, from the capital markets for 7 years for indulging in insider trading in United Spirits. The Board has directed Poonam Haresh Jashnani, Haresh Parmanand Jashnani and Varun Haresh Jashnani to disgorge unlawful gains totaling over Rs. 1 Crore made by them, along with interest, in the insider trading case.
