Supreme Court Issues Notice to Centre and Assam Government Over Detention of Children - 07.01.2020

Supreme Court has issued notice to the Centre and the Assam Government seeking a reply within four weeks on a petition alleging that 60 children were in detention centers because their citizenship was yet to be established. The Court agreed to let the children stay with their parents till their case is heard by NRC Tribunals.
