Delhi High Court: In-Laws Cannot Evict Woman Till They Give Another Alternative - 28.12.2019

Delhi High Court has ruled that in the case of a woman fighting a case under Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 the husband and the in- laws cannot evict the woman from a shared household, even if they own the property, till they provide her with an alternative accommodation. The Court reasoned that they could not render a woman roofless while she continues to be in a matrimonial relationship.
