Supreme Court Issues Notice to Centre on Pleas Against Citizenship (Amendment) Act - 18.12.2019

Supreme Court has issued notice to the Centre on 60 petitions challenging the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019. The Court announced that it would take up the case on January 22, 2020 and refused to stay operation of the Act.
