Legislation passed in Winter Session, 2015

The Goods and Services Tax framework for a homogenous tax code may have been put to bed yet again, but Parliament did break through an early onset of partisanship to pass some legal reform. Aside from the better-known Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Bill, 2015, Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Bill, 2014, Atomic Energy (Amendment) Bill, 2015, Parliament also passed the Payment of Bonus (Amendment) Bill, 2015 and Scheduled Castes and the Schedules Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Bill, 2014.
