Supreme Court Reiterates that Motor Accident Compensation can be Granted in Excess of Claimed Amount - 22.11.2019

Supreme Court has reiterated that it is permissible to grant motor accident compensation of any amount in excess to that which has been claimed. The Court took note of the fact that the Claimant was a fruit seller on a hand cart and that his right hand was amputated. Such an injury has caused him permanent disability substantially affecting his business.
