Supreme Court Rejects Plea for Guidelines for Daughter’s Right to Perform Last Rites of Parents - 08.11.2019

Supreme Court has refused to entertain a plea seeking direction to the Centre for formulating guidelines for daughter’s right to perform last rites of her parents. The Court dismissed the plea filed by one Garima Bharti saying that Courts cannot interfere in such matters as it is a matter of faith and belief.
