Delhi High Court Issues Notice on Plea Against Cannabis Use - 07.11.2019

Delhi High Court has sought response of the Centre on a plea seeking legalisation of cannabis. The Petitioner has challenged provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 which prohibit the use of cannabis alleging that the drug has medicinal and industrial benefits and its use has been legalised in various western nations.
