Jammu and Kashmir High Court Rejects Plea Challenging ‘Detention’ of Farooq’s Kin - 06.11.2019

Jammu and Kashmir High Court has rejected a petition challenging “restraints and house detention” of former chief minister Farooq Abdullah’s elder sister Khalida Shah, his younger brother Mustafa Kamal and nephew Muzzaffar Shah. The Court observed that the petition was not maintainable and unnecessary after SSP Srinagar submitted a communication that the Petitioners had neither been put under house arrest, nor their liberty had been curbed.
