Supreme Court Directs J&K High Court to File New Report on Detention of Children - 06.11.2019

Supreme Court has directed the Juvenile Justice Committee of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court to file a fresh report on the alleged detention of minors by the security forces in the region. The Court was hearing a petition filed by child rights activist Enakshi Ganguly who claimed that the children in Jammu and Kashmir have been illegally detained under the Public Safety Act in the wake of the scrapping of the provisions of Article 370 of Constitution.
