Supreme Court Upholds Centre's Demand to Recover Dues of Rs 92,000 Crore from Telecom Companies - 24.10.2019

Supreme Court has upheld a demand by the Government that telecom companies pay Rs 92,000 crore in overdue levies and interest as it accepted the government definition of Adjusted Gross Revenue. The Court said that the telecom companies would have to shell out everything, sending the shares of Airtel and Vodafone Idea tumbling sharply.
