Karnataka High Court Directs ECI to Clarify if Bypoll Process has Been Stalled - 18.10.2019

Karnataka High Court has directed the Election Commission of India to clarify whether the process of by-elections to 15 Assembly constituencies in Karnataka is stalled at present. The Court issued the direction while questioning suspension of the model code of conduct, which was enforced from September 21 while declaring calendar of events for by-elections, after the ECI deferred the bypoll date.
