Bombay High Court Directs Department to Refund Over Rs.43 Cr to Vodafone Idea with Interest for 6 Yrs - 17.10.2019

Bombay High Court has directed the Income Tax Department to release the fund of over Rs 43 Crore with applicable interest for assessment years 2007-2008 to 2013-2014 to Vodafone Idea Limited. The Court was hearing a petition against the Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax withholding the refund of Rs 43 Crore stating that a TRACES demand of Rs 49.3 lakhs for financial years 2007-2008 to 2018 was pending.
