Supreme Court: FIR Cannot be Registered Without Sanction of Competent Authority in TADA Offences - 17.10.2019

Supreme Court has ruled that an First Investigation Report with respect to commission of an offence under Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act, 1987 cannot be recorded by the police under Section 154 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 without sanction of the competent authority.
