SC Clarifies Acquittal by Criminal Court Does not Prevent Departmental Inquiry - 17.09.2019

Supreme Court has clarified that acquittal by a Criminal Court does not prevent a Departmental Inquiry against the delinquent officer and the Disciplinary Authority was not bound by the Judgment of the Criminal Court if the evidence that was produced in the Departmental Inquiry was different from that produced in the criminal trial.
