AHC: Pendency of Criminal Case Against Passport Holder will not Result in Confiscation of Passport - 04.09.2019

Allahabad High Court (AHC) has ruled that mere pendency of a criminal case is not a valid reason for confiscation of a person’s passport. Further the Court also noted that the criminal case concerned was of a petty nature under Sections 177 and 188 of Indian Penal Code, 1860.
