Russian Constitutional Court can look into decisions of international courts

President Vladimir Putin of Russia has granted assent to a Bill that allows Russia’s Constitutional Court to look into decisions of international courts, specifically if they are implementable in the country or not. Introduction of the law has been seen as an attempt to thwart judgments of the European Court of Human Rights and other courts which have over the years imposed vast compensatory damages on the country for industrial incidents and more.
